धोबी और नाई दोनों मित्र थे, दोनों ने मिलकर धर्मशाला बनवाई धोबी ने लाकर मुनि महाराज को ठहरा दिया, नाई उन्हें भगाने लगा, दोनों आपस में लड़कर मरे धोबी सूकर एवं नाई शेर बना, मुनि महाराज गुफा में ध्यान कर रहे थे, शेर मुनि महाराज को खाना चाहता था एवं सूकर बचाना चाहता था, दोनों आपस में लड़कर के मरे सूकर अभय दान के प्रभाव से स्वर्ग गया, और शेर मारने के भाव से नरक गया।

A washerman and a barber were friends; together they built a rest-house. The washerman brought a monk and lodged him there, but the barber tried to drive him off. The two quarrelled and died; the washerman became a boar and the barber a lion. The monk was meditating in a cave; the lion wanted to devour him while the boar wanted to save him. The two fought and died; the boar, by the merit of the gift of fearlessness, went to heaven, while the lion, by his intent to kill, went to hell.
