एक मुहूर्त के बाद पानी को फिर से नहीं छानना, अथवा सछिद्र या मलिन वस्त्र से छानना और जीवानी को अन्य जलाशय में डालना, जलगालन व्रत में योग्य नहीं माना गया है।

Not re-filtering water after one muhurta, or filtering through a torn or dirty cloth, and throwing the jivani into a different reservoir — these are held improper in the vow of water-filtering.
