अपने हृदय में दया का अभाव हो तो अपने पूर्व कृत पुण्यों का फल भी प्राप्त नहीं होता है। तीर्थों में श्रेष्ठ तीर्थ, पवित्र वस्तुओं में अति पवित्र वस्तु 'विशुद्ध हृदय' ही है।

If there is no compassion in one's heart, one does not even reap the fruit of one's past good deeds. Among holy places the greatest, and among pure things the purest, is a 'pure heart' itself.
