एक व्यक्ति को मग से बिना देखे, बिना छना पानी पीने से, कुछ दिनों में पेट में तकलीफ होने लगी, तो एक्सरे करवाया डॉक्टर ने उपवास करने के लिए कहा–उसने कहा हम तो एक घंटे भी भूखे नहीं रह सकते, डॉक्टर ने कहा स्वस्थ होना है, तो उपवास करना ही होगा उसने जिस किसी तरह उपवास किया दूसरे दिन दस–पाँच चने के दाने खाने को दिए, जब चने की धंध पेट में पहुँची तो उल्टी की इच्छा हुई, डॉक्टर ने कहा उल्टी कर दो, उल्टी की तो साँप का बच्चा निकला यह अनछना पानी पीने का परिणाम था।

A man drank unfiltered water from a mug without looking; in a few days his stomach began to hurt. An X-ray was taken and the doctor told him to fast. He said, 'We cannot stay hungry even an hour.' The doctor said, 'If you want to be well, you must fast.' Somehow he fasted; the next day he was given five or ten gram seeds to eat, and when their smell reached his stomach he felt like vomiting. The doctor told him to vomit, and out came a baby snake — this was the result of drinking unfiltered water.
