जो वस्त्र छत्तीस अँगुल लम्बा और चौबीस अँगुल चौड़ा है, उसे दुहरा कर पानी छानना चाहिए। वस्त्र के मध्य आये हुए जीवों को जल के मध्य में स्थापित करना चाहिए, ऐसा कर जो पानी पीता है वह उत्कृष्ट गति को प्राप्त होता है।

A cloth thirty-six fingers long and twenty-four fingers wide should be folded double to filter water. The creatures caught in the cloth should be placed back into the water; one who drinks water after doing this attains an excellent destiny.
