रत्नवृष्टि की बिक्री- एक वणिक अपना खरीदा हुआ माल बेचने के लिए बहुत से अमूल्य मणि लेकर जरासन्ध से मिला, उन मणियों को देखकर राजा जरासन्ध ने उससे पूँछा कि ये मणि तुम कहाँ से लाये हो? वणिक ने कहा हे स्वामिन्! ये मणि उस द्वारिका पुरी से लाये हैं जहाँ अत्यन्त पराक्रमी राजा कृष्ण जी रहते हैं, यादवों के स्वामी समुद्रविजय और उनकी रानी शिवादेवी को जब तीर्थंङ्कर श्री नेमिनाथ जी उत्पन्न हुये थे, तब पन्द्रह मास तक देवों ने रत्न वृष्टि की थी, उन्हीं रत्नों में से ये रत्न लाये हैं, तात्पर्य यह है कि दिव्य रत्नों का भी व्यापार होता है।

The sale of the jewel-rain: a merchant, carrying many priceless gems to sell his wares, met King Jarasandha. Seeing the gems the king asked where he had brought them from. The merchant said, 'Lord, these gems come from Dvaraka, where the mighty King Krishna lives; when Tirthankara Neminath was born to Samudravijaya, lord of the Yadavas, and his queen Shivadevi, the gods rained jewels for fifteen months — these are among those jewels.' The point is that even divine jewels are traded.
