भगवान् के विहार की महिमा- जिस मार्ग से भगवान् का विहार होता है, वह मार्ग अपने चिन्हों से एक वर्ष तक यह प्रकट करता है कि वहाँ से भगवान् का विहार हुआ है, तथा रत्नवृष्टि से वह मार्ग ऐसा सुशोभित होता है जैसे नक्षत्रों के समूह से चन्द्रमा सुशोभित होता है, उस समय मन्दबुद्धि मनुष्य तीक्ष्णबुद्धि के धारक हो जाते हैं, समस्त हिंसक जीव अहिंसक हो जाते हैं और भगवान् के विहार से अनुगृहीत भूमि में दो सौ योजन तक उपद्रव आदि नहीं होते हैं और पचास वर्ष तक कोई उपद्रव-दुर्भिक्ष आदि नहीं होता है, भगवान् के समीप रहने वाले लोगों को खेद, पसीना, पीड़ा तथा चिन्ता आदि कुछ भी उपद्रव नहीं होता है।

The glory of the Lord's travels — The road along which the Lord travels reveals by its signs, for a full year, that the Lord passed that way; and with a rain of jewels that road is adorned as the moon is adorned by a host of stars. At that time dull-witted people become sharp of intellect, all violent creatures become non-violent, and in the land graced by the Lord's travels no calamities occur for two hundred yojanas, and for fifty years no calamity, famine or the like arises; the people living near the Lord suffer no distress at all — no fatigue, sweat, pain or anxiety.
