चेहरे पर लगी कालिख को देखकर, सबसे पहले साफ करने का भाव होता है उसी प्रकार जिनदेव रूपी दर्पण को देखकर आत्मा पर लगी कर्म-नोकर्म रुपी कालिख को छुटाने का पुरूषार्थ करना चाहिये।

On seeing the soot on one's face in a mirror, the first impulse is to wipe it clean; likewise, beholding the mirror that is Jinadeva, one should strive to remove the soot of karma and quasi-karma clinging to the soul.
