बिना श्रद्धा के किया हुआ हवन, दिया हुआ दान एवं तपा हुआ तप और जो कुछ भी किया हुआ शुभ कर्म है वह सब असत् कहलाता है वह न तो इस लोक में लाभदायक होता है न मरने के बाद परलोक में सुखदायी होता है।

A fire-offering made, charity given, austerity performed, and any auspicious deed done without faith — all this is called unreal; it is neither beneficial in this world nor happiness-giving in the next world after death.
