निरपेक्षवृत्ति- पण्डित गोपालदास जी की पत्नी ने एक बार विद्यालय के बढ़ई से बच्चे को एक खिलौना बनवा लिया, पण्डित जी को पता चला तो पण्डितजी ने काष्ठ की कीमत, दो घण्टे कारीगर की मेहनत का पैसा विद्यालय में जमा कर दिया, विद्यार्थियों को निरपेक्ष वृति से पढ़ाते थे, उनके पढ़ाये बच्चे सभी ठोस विद्वान् निकले जो समाज के कर्णधार बने।

Disinterestedness: once Pandit Gopaldas ji's wife had the school's carpenter make a toy for their child. When the Pandit learned of it, he deposited in the school the cost of the wood and the wages for two hours of the craftsman's labour. He taught the students without any self-interest, and the children he taught all turned out solid scholars who became leaders of society.
