विवाह बाँध है- बाँध के चारों ओर सुदृढ़ दीवाल बनाई जाती है, और उसमें आपात कालीन गेट होता है उसी प्रकार विवाह भी चारो ओर से वासना रूपी जल को रोकने के लिये बाँध है, उसमें स्वदार सन्तोष रूप एक आपातकालीन गेट है, विवाह वासना का निमन्त्रण नहीं नियन्त्रण है।

Marriage is a dam: around a dam a strong wall is built with an emergency gate; likewise marriage too is a dam to hold back on all sides the waters of lust, with contentment in one's own spouse as its emergency gate. Marriage is not an invitation to lust but a restraint upon it.
