देशभूषण कुलभूषण- उस समय बच्चों की शिक्षा गुरुकुल में हुआ करती थी, पाँच वर्ष की उम्र में कुलभूषण देशभूषण राजपुत्रों के माता-पिता ने पुत्रों को गुरू के पास भेज दिया, विद्याध्ययन करके वापस आये, नगर प्रवेश के समय स्वागत हुआ, झरोखे में बैठी सुन्दर कन्या को देख कर शादी का भाव हुआ, एक दूसरे में द्वन्द हो गया, अन्त में मालूम हुआ ये उनकी ही बहिन है, घर में प्रवेश किये विना दीक्षा ग्रहण कर ली, रामचन्द्र जी ने उपसर्ग निवारण किया, केवली हुये, दिव्यध्वनि खिरी, कुन्थलगिरी से मोक्ष को प्राप्त हुए थे।

Deshabhushana and Kulabhushana: in those days children were educated in a gurukul; at the age of five the princes Kulabhushana and Deshabhushana were sent by their parents to a teacher. Having completed their studies they returned; on entering the city they were welcomed, and seeing a beautiful maiden seated at a window, a wish to marry arose, and a conflict grew between them — in the end it was learnt that she was their own sister. Without even entering the house they took initiation; Rama removed their affliction; they attained omniscience, the divine sound issued forth, and from Kunthalgiri they attained liberation.
