शादी में सात फेरे लगाये जाते हैं, अर्थात् सात प्रकार का संसार परिभ्रमण करना पड़ता है, एकेन्द्रिय के सूक्ष्म, बादर दो-तीन-चार इन्द्रिय, असंज्ञी और संज्ञी के भेद से सात भेद होते हैं या तो संसार के चक्कर काटो अथवा मुनि बनकर कर्म काटो।

In marriage seven rounds are taken, meaning one must wander through seven kinds of worldly existence — subtle and gross one-sensed beings, two-, three-, four-sensed, and the non-sentient and sentient five-sensed. Either keep circling through samsara, or become a muni and cut through karma.
