भोग बुरे भव रोग बढ़ावे बैरी है जग जीके। बेरस होय विपाक समय अति सेवत लागे नीके।। वज्र अग्नि विष से विषधर से ये अधिके दुःख दायी। धर्म रतन के चोर चपल अति दुर्गति पन्थ सहाई।।

Enjoyments increase evil births and disease and are enemies of the world; sweet while indulged, they turn bitter at the time of ripening. They give more pain than thunderbolt, fire, poison or a serpent; fickle thieves of the jewel of dharma, they are helpers on the road to evil births.
