पिता की अन्तिम सीख- लोगों ने कहा पण्डितजी आपका बेटा बिगड़ रहा है, पण्डितजी ने कोशिश की लेकिन सुधार नहीं हुआ अन्त में पिताजी ने कहा बेटा अब हम जा रहे हैं, आप यदि व्यसन नहीं छोड़ते तो विपरीत क्रम से सेवन करें, वेश्या सेवन प्रातः करने जाय, दारू काउन्टर के पीछे से खरीदें, जुआ जब सज्जन कहे तब खेलें, अन्त में अनुभव आने पर बेटा सुधर गया।

A father's last teaching: people told a scholar his son was going astray; he tried but the son did not reform. At last the father said, 'Son, I am departing now; if you will not give up your vices, then indulge them in reverse order — visit the prostitute in the morning, buy liquor from behind the counter, gamble only when respectable men approve.' In the end, through experience, the son reformed.
