छेदन भेदन मारण, कर्षण वाणिज्य चौर्य वचनादि। तत्सावद्यं यास्मात्, प्राणी वधाद्याः प्रवर्तन्ते।।

जो छेदन, भेदन, मारण, शोषणयुक्त व्यापार या चोरी आदि के वचन हैं वे सब पाप युक्त वचन हैं।

Words about cutting, piercing, killing, exploitative trade, theft and the like are all sinful words, for from them the slaughter of beings and other harms proceed.
