दुर्जन, क्रूर, कुमार्ग रतों पर-दुर्जन- जयद्रथ ने कषाय के वश पाण्डवों को लोह मयी गर्म आभूषण पहनाये पर पाण्डवों ने क्षमा धारण की और तीन पाण्डव मोक्ष पधारे और दो सर्वार्थसिद्धि गये। क्रूर- स्यालनी ने सुकोशल मुनि को खाया मुनि ने क्षमा धारण की और सर्वार्थसिद्धि गये। कुमार्गरत- भगवान् आदिनाथ के समय चार हजार मुनि भ्रष्ट हो गये, पर आदिनाथ भगवान् ने मौन नहीं तोड़ा और समता रस के स्वादी बने रहे।

Toward the wicked, the cruel, and those on wrong paths. Wicked: Jayadratha, ruled by passion, made the Pandavas wear red-hot iron ornaments, yet the Pandavas held to forgiveness — three attained liberation and two attained Sarvarthasiddhi. Cruel: a she-jackal devoured Sukoshal Muni; the monk held to forgiveness and attained Sarvarthasiddhi. On wrong paths: in the time of Lord Adinath four thousand monks fell from their vows, yet Lord Adinath did not break his silence and remained a relisher of the nectar of equanimity.
