आचार्य शान्तिसागर जी पर उपसर्ग- एक बार धौलपुर नगर में आचार्य श्री का सङ्घ आया तो आचार्य श्री को भावी दुर्घटना का पूर्वाभास हो गया था, अतः उन्होंने पूरे सङ्घ को अन्दर सामायिक करने का आदेश दिया, उपसर्ग करने वाले आये और बाहर ही घेर कर बैठ गये, जैन बन्धुओं ने राजा से शिकायत की तो राजा ने दुष्टों को गिरफ्तार करके कहा की आचार्य महाराज जो सजा कहेंगे वही सजा इन्हें दी जाएगी, महाराज ने तीन बार वचन लिया कि 'जो हम कहेंगे वही सजा दोगे'? राजा ने कहा कि जो आप कहेंगे वही सजा दी जाएगी, तब आचार्य श्री ने कहा कि इन्हें छोड़ दो, तब वे उपसर्ग करने वाले महाराज के चरणों में गिर कर क्षमा माँगने लगे, महाराज ने कहा हम अपराधी को नहीं अपराध को समाप्त करते हैं, अपराधियों ने प्रण किया कि ऐसी गलती अब हम कभी नहीं करेंगे।

An affliction upon Acharya Shantisagarji: once when the Acharya's sangha came to Dholpur, the Acharya had a premonition of coming trouble and ordered the whole sangha to do samayik inside. The troublemakers came and surrounded them outside. When the Jain devotees complained to the king, he arrested the miscreants and said whatever punishment the Acharya ordered would be given. Three times the Acharya made the king promise, 'You will give exactly the punishment I say?' The king agreed. Then the Acharya said, 'Set them free.' At this the troublemakers fell at his feet and begged forgiveness. The Acharya said, 'We destroy the offence, not the offender.' The offenders vowed never to make such a mistake again.
