पण्डित टोडरमल जी की क्षमा- किसी शरारती ने पण्डितजी के पास एक पागल व्यक्ति लाकर खड़ा कर दिया और कहा कि ये आपके साढू भाई आये हैं, पण्डितजी उसे देखकर कुपित नहीं हुये बल्कि उन्होंने स्वीकार कर लिया, अपने पास रख लिया एक दिन उस व्यक्ति ने देखा कि पण्डितजी उसकी अच्छी सेवाकर रहे हैं वास्तव में ये इनके साढू हैं क्या ? पण्डितजी से पूछा तो उन्होंने कहा कि हाँ, एक माँ की दो बेटियां थीं एक साता और दूसरी असाता उनमें से हमारी शादी साता से हो गई और इनकी शादी असाता से हो गई इसलिऐये हमारे साढू ही तो हैं।

One day the man, seeing that the Pandit served him well, wondered if he really was his brother-in-law and asked. The Pandit said, 'Yes — one mother had two daughters, Sata (comfort) and Asata (discomfort); I was married to Sata and he to Asata, so indeed he is my brother-in-law.'
