क्रोधान्ध राजा- प्यास से पीड़ित राजा जङ्गल में भटक गया था, थककर एक वृक्ष के नीचे लेट गया, थोड़ी देर बाद आँख खुली तो उसने देखा कि वृक्ष की खोह से कुछ-कुछ पानी बह कर आ रहा है, राजा ने पत्तों का दोना बनाया पानी भरने को रख दिया दोना भरा था कि एक तोते ने दोने को नीचे गिरा दिया, बड़ी खिन्नता हुयी, पुनः पानी इकट्ठा किया तोते ने फिर गिरा दिया

The anger-blinded king: a king tormented by thirst had lost his way in the forest and, exhausted, lay down under a tree. When his eyes opened a little later he saw water trickling from a hollow of the tree. He made a cup of leaves and set it to fill; when it was full a parrot knocked it down. Greatly vexed, he gathered water again, and the parrot knocked it down once more.
