जुँआ- छोटा सा जुँआ सिर पर चढ़ जाये तो बैचेन होते हैं, यदि जुआ व्यसन शिर पर चढ जाये तो तन, मन, परिवार बैचेन होता है, जुआ हारने वाले को मृगमरीचिका की डोर में बाँध कर सर्वनाश के कगार पर लाता है, जीतने वाला लालच के मकड़जाल में फँसकर मारा जाता है, जुआ का खेल आग का खेल है, बर्बादी का अड्डा है, घर फूँककर देखा जाने वाला तमाशा है, देता कुछ है और लेता सब कुछ है, प्रलोभन का विष देता है और कुप्रवृत्तियों और विनाश को देता है।

Gambling — if a tiny louse gets on the head one is restless; if the addiction of gambling mounts the head, body, mind and family become restless. It binds the loser to the rope of a mirage and brings him to the brink of ruin; the winner too, snared in the web of greed, is destroyed. Gambling is a game of fire, a den of ruin, a spectacle watched only after burning down one's own house; it gives a little and takes everything, offering the poison of temptation and leading to vice and destruction.
