चागी भद्दो चोक्खो, उज्जव कम्मो य खमदि बहुगं पि। साहू गुरू पूजण रदो लक्खणमेयं तु पम्मस्स।।

दान देने वाला हो, सरल परिणामी हो, जिसका उत्तम कार्य करने का स्वभाव हो, कष्टरूप तथा अनिष्ट रूप उपद्रवों को सहन करने वाला हो, मुनिजन, गुरुजन आदि की पूजा में प्रीति युक्त हो, ये सब पद्म लेश्या वाले के लक्षण हैं।

One who is charitable, simple in disposition, whose nature is to do noble deeds, who endures painful and adverse calamities, and who takes delight in worshipping saints and elders — all these are the marks of one with the Padma (pink) leshya.
