जो स्वजनों पर उदारता, सेवकों पर दया, दुर्जन के साथ माध्यस्थता, सज्जन के साथ प्रीति, राजा के साथ नीति, विद्वानों के साथ सरलता, शत्रुजनों के साथ शौर्य, गुरुजनों के साथ क्षमा और स्त्रियों के साथ चतुरता का व्यवहार करते हैं और कला कुशल है, उन्हीं पुरुषों पर यह जगत् स्थित है।

Those who show generosity toward their own people, compassion toward servants, neutrality toward the wicked, affection toward the good, statecraft toward kings, simplicity toward the learned, valour toward enemies, forgiveness toward elders and tact toward women, and who are skilled in the arts — upon such men rests this world.
