राजा श्रेयांस-आहारदान- राजा श्रेयाँस के जीव श्रीमति और आदिनाथ जी के जीव वज्रजङ्घ ने दस भव पूर्व चारण ऋद्धि के धारक अपने ही दो पुत्रों के लिए जिस विधि से दान दिया था, वह सब विधि भगवान् के दर्शन करते ही श्रेयाँस की स्मृति में आ गयी, आहार के बाद ऋषभ देव तप की वृद्धि के लिए वन को गये तब देवों ने अभिषेक पूर्वक दान तीर्थङ्कर राजा श्रेयाँस की पूजा की थी। दान, पूजा, तप और शील यह गृहस्थ का चार प्रकार का धर्म शरीर से करने योग्य है।

King Shreyans and the gift of food: the soul of King Shreyans (as Shrimati) and the soul of Adinath (as Vajrajangha) had, ten births earlier, given a gift by a certain procedure to their own two sons who held the charana-riddhi; that whole procedure came to Shreyans's memory the moment he saw the Lord. After the food-offering, when Rishabhadeva went to the forest to intensify his austerity, the gods worshipped the giver, King Shreyans, with consecration. Charity, worship, austerity and chastity—this fourfold dharma of the householder is fit to be performed with the body.
