लक्ष्मी पुण्य से आती है और पुण्य पात्रदान से होता है, और साधु को केवल आहारदान दिया जा सकता है, इसलिए जिनालय वनवाकर लक्ष्मी का सदुपयोग करना चाहिए, क्योंकि मन्दिर में सारे पवित्र कार्य होते हैं, हजारों वर्ष तक प्रतिमाएँ पूजी जाती हैं।

Wealth comes from merit, merit from giving to worthy recipients, and to a sadhu only food may be given; so one should use wealth well by building a Jinalaya, for in a temple all sacred acts are performed and the images are worshipped for thousands of years.
