कड़ा के लोभ में जान गवायी– एक व्याघ्र ने एक राहगीर से कहा कि मेरे पास एक सोने का कड़ा है, वह तुम्हे देना चाहता हूँ। पथिक ने कहा तुम्हारा हमे विश्वास नहीं, तब उसने कहा कि मेरे दाँत टूट गये हैं, नख गिर गये हैं, मैं बूढ़ा हो गया हूँ, अब इस कड़ा को दान देकर मुक्ति चाहता हूँ, पथिक उसके माया जाल में फँस गया, बेचारा जैसे ही निकट आया व्याघ्र ने उसे मार डाला।

Lost his life for greed of a bangle: A tiger told a traveller he had a gold bangle he wished to give away. The traveller said he did not trust him, so the tiger said his teeth had broken, his claws fallen out, he had grown old and now sought liberation by giving away the bangle in charity. The traveller was caught in his web of deceit, and the moment the poor man came near, the tiger killed him.
