कर्तृत्व बुद्धि, भोक्तृत्वबुद्धि और स्वामित्वबुद्धि- अज्ञानी अपने को पर पदार्थ का कर्ता मानता है। जैसे कुत्ता गाड़ी के नीचे चलता है तो मानता है कि 'मैं गाड़ी चला रहा हूँ', पर उसे नहीं मालूम कि गाड़ी चलाने वाला कोई दूसरा है यही कर्तृत्व बुद्धि कहलाती है। इसी प्रकार पर पदार्थ का अपने को भोक्ता मानता है, मकान, दुकान आदि का अपने को स्वामी मानता है, जैसा की छः ढाला में कहा है 'मैं सुखी-दुःखी मैं रङ्क राव, मेरे धन गृह गोधन प्रभाव' इत्यादि।

The sense of doership, enjoyership and ownership: the ignorant person believes himself the doer of external things. As a dog walking under a cart thinks 'I am pulling the cart,' not knowing that another drives it — this is the sense of doership. Likewise he thinks himself the enjoyer of external objects and the owner of house, shop and so on, as the Chhahdhala says: 'I am happy, I am sad, I am pauper or king; mine are the wealth, house and cattle,' and so forth.
