मोक्ष को प्राप्त कराती है वह विनय है, विनय से सब प्रकार के कल्याण नियम से प्राप्त होते हैं, 'विद्या ददाति विनयं' जब सामान्य विद्या विनय को देती है तो जिनवाणी के अध्ययन से तो विनय आना ही चाहिए, क्योंकि जिनवाणी में सद्गुणों का ही कथन है, मनुष्य पर्याय का सार जिन मुद्रा धारण करना है, जिनवाणी की शिक्षा सम्यक् विनय से समाधि आदि गुण प्राप्त होते हैं, विनयसम्पन्नता, विनयतप, मार्दव धर्मादि प्राप्त होते हैं।

It is humility that leads to liberation; through humility all kinds of welfare are surely obtained. 'Vidya dadati vinayam' - when ordinary learning gives humility, then the study of the Jinavani must certainly bring humility, for the Jinavani speaks only of virtues. The essence of human birth is to take up the Jina's form; from the teaching of the Jinavani, through right humility, qualities like samadhi are attained - humility-perfection, the penance of humility, the Dharma of gentleness and so on.
