पुरुषार्थी- पण्डित गोपालदास जी का स्वास्थ खराब था, बम्बई से प्रवचनार्थ निमन्त्रण आया, पण्डित जी जाने को तैयार हो गये लोगों ने रोका मत जाओं, तब पण्डितजी ने कहा- जैसे युद्ध में शूर और जुआ में जुआरी को निमन्त्रण मिलने पर रुकता नहीं, ऐसा ही विद्वान् भी होता है।

Diligent: Pandit Gopaldas ji was in poor health when an invitation came from Bombay to give discourses; he made ready to go. People stopped him, saying, 'Do not go.' The Pandit replied, 'Just as a warrior in battle and a gambler at the gaming table do not hold back when invited, so too is the scholar.'
