दुनिया को जीता-किन्तु मौत से हार गए- जिनके शरीर में नाखून की खरोंच तक नहीं थी, जिन्होंने अनेक राजाओं को जीता था, जो तीन खण्ड के अधिपति थे, जिनके पास सात रत्न थे, एक-एक रत्न की हजार-हजार देव सेवा करते थे, तो भी मृत्यु को नहीं जीत सके, ऐसे लक्ष्मण चाचा की मौत देखकर लव-कुश को वैराग्य हो गया, पिता बलभद्र श्री रामचन्द्रजी को नमस्कार किया और दीक्षा के लिए वन की ओर चले गये।
