मुनि दीक्षा होते ही संसार आधा हो जाता है, गुणस्थान सात हो जाते हैं, मोक्ष के लिये चौदह गुणस्थान पार करना होते हैं, मोहनीय की अट्ठाईस प्रकृति में से चौदह समाप्त हो जाती हैं।

The moment one takes Muni initiation, worldly bondage is halved: one reaches the seventh gunasthana; to attain liberation one must cross all fourteen gunasthanas, and fourteen of the twenty-eight sub-types of the deluding (mohaniya) karma are already destroyed.
