शान्तिसागर जी ने दीक्षा के बाद आगम के अनुसार आहार लेने का नियम लिया था, चार दिन तक आहार नहीं मिला था, तब जनता ने उनके गुरू से पूँछ कर व्यवस्था बनायी थी, आदिनाथ जी के समय बताने वाला कोई नहीं था।

After initiation Shantisagar ji took a vow to accept food according to the scriptures; for four days he received none, so the people, asking his guru, arranged the proper method — but in Adinath's time there was no one to explain it.
