जघन्य भोगभूमि के काल में पल्य का आठवां भाग शेष रहने पर कुलकरों की उत्पत्ति हुयी थी, उन्होंने कर्मभूमि का परिचय कराया था, चौदहवें कुलकर नाभिराय के यहाँ प्रथम तीर्थंङ्कर सर्वार्थसिद्धि से पधारे थे।
