किसकी आँखों में क्या रहता है- 1.माँ की आँखों में ममता, 2.पिता की आँखों में फर्ज, 3.पत्नी की आँखों में कर्तव्य, 4.भाई की आँखों में प्यार, 5.बहिन की आँखों में दुलार, 6.अमीर की आँखों में अहङ्कार, 7.गरीब की आँखों में दीनता, 8.मित्र की आँखों में सहयोग, 9.दुश्मन की आँखों में बदला, 10.कामी की आँखों में वासना, 11.क्रोधी की आँखों में ललिमा, 12.मानी की आँखों में बड़प्पन, 13.लोभी की आँखों में स्वार्थ, 14.कपटी की आँखों में चंचलता, 15.ज्वाँरी की आँखों में धन, 16.मांसभक्षी की आँखों में क्रूरता, 17.सज्जन की आँखों में दया, 18.शिष्य की आँखों में आदर, 19.गुरु की आँखों में 'सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः' की भावना ही रहती है।

What dwells in whose eyes: 1. in a mother's eyes, affection; 2. in a father's, duty; 3. in a wife's, devotion; 4. in a brother's, love; 5. in a sister's, tenderness; 6. in the rich man's, pride; 7. in the poor man's, meekness; 8. in a friend's, support; 9. in an enemy's, revenge; 10. in the lustful, desire; 11. in the angry, redness; 12. in the proud, grandeur; 13. in the greedy, self-interest; 14. in the deceitful, restlessness; 15. in the gambler's, money; 16. in the meat-eater's, cruelty; 17. in the noble, compassion; 18. in the disciple's, reverence; 19. in the guru's eyes dwells only the wish, 'May all beings be happy.'
