1. शुक्रवार में गुरूवार का अभाव- प्रागभाव कहलाता है, 2.शुक्रवार में शनिवार का अभाव- प्रध्वंसाभाव कहलाता है, 3. एक अङ्गुलिका दूसरी अङ्गुलि में, एक फल का दूसरे फल में, एक तन्तु का दूसरे तन्तु में अभाव- अन्योन्याभाव कहलाता है, 4. एक परमाणु का दूसरे परमाणु में और एक जीव का दूसरे जीव में अभाव- अत्यन्ताभाव कहलाता है।

1. The absence of Thursday within Friday is called prior-non-existence (pragabhava); 2. the absence of Saturday within Friday is called posterior-non-existence (pradhvamsabhava); 3. the absence of one finger in another, one fruit in another, one thread in another is called mutual non-existence (anyonyabhava); 4. the absence of one atom in another and of one soul in another is called absolute non-existence (atyantabhava).
