पवनञ्जय के पास रावण का पत्र आया, वरूण से युद्ध हो रहा है, पवनञ्जय ने हनुमान से कहा, बेटा तुम राज्य सम्भालो, मैं युद्ध को जा रहा हूँ, हनुमान ने कहा पिता जी, आप घर पर रहो मैं युद्ध को जाऊँगा, पिता ने कहा बेटा, तुमने कभी युद्ध देखा नहीं, तुम मत जाओ, तब हनुमान ने कहा! पिताजी क्या कोई पहले मोक्ष को देखकर आता है बाद में मोक्ष जाता है?

A letter came to Pavananjaya from Ravana about the war with Varuna. Pavananjaya told Hanuman, 'Son, look after the kingdom, I am going to battle.' Hanuman said, 'Father, you stay home, I shall go.'
