उभयबन्ध और भावबन्ध-दूध और पानी की तरह आत्मा और कर्म का संश्लेष सम्बन्ध है, जीव और कर्म का उभयबन्ध कहलाता है। जीव में मिथ्यात्व आदि भाव होना भाव बंध है।

Mutual bondage and psychic bondage: like milk and water, the soul and karma have an intimate union, which is called the mutual bondage of soul and karma; and the arising in the soul of states like wrong-belief is psychic bondage.
