परमार्थ से यदि काय से पाप हुआ है तो सौ प्रतिशत दण्ड, वचन से हजार प्रतिशत दण्ड, मन से दस हजार प्रतिशत दण्ड भोगना पड़ता है। लोकव्यवहार में मन से पाप हुआ है तो कोई दण्ड नहीं मिलता, वचन से पाप हुआ है तो हजार प्रतिशत दण्ड मिलता है और काय से पाप हुआ है तो दस हजार प्रतिशत दण्ड मिलता है।

From the ultimate standpoint, if sin is done by body one bears a hundred percent punishment, by speech a thousand percent, by mind ten thousand percent. In worldly practice, sin by mind gets no punishment, sin by speech gets a thousand percent, and sin by body gets ten thousand percent punishment.
