नव निधियाँ-1.कालनिधि- में ज्योतिष्शास्त्र, निमित्तशास्त्र, न्यायशास्त्र कलाशास्त्र, व्याकरणशास्त्र पुराण आदि का सद्भाव होता है। 2.महाकालनिधि- में विद्वानों के द्वारा निर्णय करने योग्य पञ्च लोह आदि नाना प्रकार के लोहों का सद्भाव होता है। 3.पाण्डुकनिधि- में शालि, ब्रीही, जौं आदि समस्त प्रकार के धान्य तथा कड़वे-चरपरे आदि पदार्थों का सद्भाव होता है। 4.माणवकनिधि-में कवच, ढाल, तलवार, बाण, शक्ति, तोमर, चक्रादि नाना प्रकार के दिव्य शस्त्रों का सद्भाव होता है। 5.सर्पनिधि- में शय्या, आसन आदि नाना प्रकार की वस्तुओं तथा घर के उपयोग में आने वाले नाना प्रकार के बर्तनों का सद्भाव होता है। 6.सर्वरत्ननिधि- इन्द्रनीलमणि, महानीलमणि, वज्रमणिआदि बड़ी-बड़ी दो शिखा के धारक उत्तमोत्तम रत्नों का सद्भाव होता है। 7.शङ्खनिधि-भेरी, शङ्ख, नगाड़े, वीणा, छल्लरी और मृदङ्ग आदि आघात से तथा फूँककर बजाने योग्य नाना प्रकार के बाजों का सद्भाव होता है। 8.पद्मनिधि- पाटाम्बर, चीन, महानेत्र, दुकूल, उत्तम कम्बल तथा नाना प्रकार के रङ्ग-बिरङ्गे वस्त्रों का सद्भाव होता है। 9.पिङ्गलनिधि-कड़े कटि सूत्र आदि स्त्री-पुरूषों के आभूषण और हाथी-घोड़ा आदि के आभूषणों का सद्भाव होता है। ये नवनिधियां कामवृष्टि नामक गृहपति के अधीन होती हैं और सदा चक्रवर्ती के मनोरथों को पूर्ण करती हैं।

The nine treasures: 1. Kala-nidhi contains astrology, the science of omens, logic, the arts, grammar, the Puranas and so on. 2. Mahakala-nidhi contains the five metals and various kinds of metals to be assayed by the learned. 3. Panduka-nidhi contains all kinds of grains such as rice, paddy and barley, and bitter and pungent substances. 4. Manavaka-nidhi contains various divine weapons—armour, shield, sword, arrow, spear, club, discus and so on. 5. Sarpa-nidhi contains various articles such as beds and seats and various household vessels. 6. Sarvaratna-nidhi contains the finest gems—sapphire, great-sapphire, diamond and the like, bearing two great peaks. 7. Shankha-nidhi contains various instruments to be played by striking and by blowing—kettle-drum, conch, drums, veena, chhallari, mridanga and so on. 8. Padma-nidhi contains fine silks, Chinese cloth, mahanetra, dukula, fine blankets and various colourful garments. 9. Pingala-nidhi contains ornaments for men and women such as bangles and waist-girdles, and ornaments for elephants, horses and the like. These nine treasures are under the householder-lord named Kamavrishti and ever fulfil the desires of the Chakravarti.
