सेनापति जय कुमार की दीक्षा- भरत चक्रवर्ती के सेनापति जयकुमार के साथ एक सौ आठ राजाओं ने दीक्षा धारण की और उनकी पत्नी सुलोचना ने अनेक सपत्नियों के साथ ब्राह्मी और सुन्दरी आर्यिका के पास दीक्षा ली। दीक्षोपरान्त जयकुमार शीघ्र ही द्वादशाङ्ग के पाठी होकर भगवान् के गणधर हो गये और आर्यिका सुलोचना ग्यारह अङ्गों की धारक हो गयी एवं नमि-विनमि भी छिहत्तर-सतत्तर वें गणधर हुये थे।

The initiation of General Jaykumar: along with Bharata Chakravarti's general Jaykumar, one hundred and eight kings took initiation, and his wife Sulochana, with many co-wives, took initiation under the aryikas Brahmi and Sundari. After initiation Jaykumar soon became a reciter of the twelve Angas and a Ganadhara of the Lord, and the aryika Sulochana became a holder of eleven Angas; Nami and Vinami too became the seventy-sixth and seventy-seventh Ganadharas.
