सोलह अङ्ग प्रमाण जीव राशि में एक अङ्कको अनन्त के बराबर जानना चाहिए, तीन अङ्क मध्यम अनन्तानन्त प्रमाण सिद्ध हैं और तेरह अङ्क प्रमाण सभी जीव जानना, किन्तु बारहअङ्क प्रमाण अनाद्यनन्त निगोदिया और एक अङ्क में बहु भाग निगोदिया हैं और शेष में चारों गतियों के जीव हैं, देव राशि भी मध्यम अंसख्यात है।(उनतीस अङ्क मनुष्यों का प्रमाण कहा है, वह सामान्य है)।

In the sixteen-digit measure of the soul-mass, one digit should be known as equal to infinity; three digits' worth are the Siddhas of medium infinite-infinite measure, and thirteen digits' worth are all souls; but twelve digits' worth are the beginningless-endless nigoda souls, and in one digit the greater part is nigoda while the rest holds the souls of the four states; the deva-mass too is medium-innumerable. (Twenty-nine digits is stated as the measure of humans; that is the general figure.)
