सप्त धातु की मात्रा- मनुष्य के शरीर में दुर्गन्ध मज्जा से भरी तीन सौ हड्डियाँ होती हैं, सम्पूर्ण शरीर में तीन सौ सन्धि, नौ सौ स्नायु, सात सौ शिराएं, पाँच सौ मांसपेशियाँ, चार शिराओं के जाल, सोलह रक्त से पूर्ण 'महाशिराएँ', छ: शिराओं के मूल हैं, दो माँस रज्जू जो एक पीठ और एक पेट के आश्रित हैं, सातत्वचाएँ, सातकालेचक, 'अस्सीलाख करोड़ रोम', पक्वाशय और आमाशय में सोलह आँते, दुर्गन्धित मल के सात आशय, तीनस्थूण, एक सौ सात मर्म स्थान, नौमल द्वार जिनसे नित्य मल बहता है, स्वयं के एक अञ्जुलि प्रमाण मस्तक, एक अञ्जुलि प्रमाण मेद, एक अञ्जुलि प्रमाण वीर्य, एकअञ्जुलि प्रमाण ओज (शुक्र), तीन अञ्जुलि प्रमाण बसा, छ: अञ्जुलि प्रमाण पित्त, छ: अञ्जुलि प्रमाण कफ, आधा आठक प्रमाण खून, एकआठक प्रमाण मूत्र, छ: प्रस्थ प्रमाण विष्ठा, बीस नख, बत्तीस दाँत, जैसे घाव में कीड़े भरे रहते हैं वैसे ही शरीर बहुत से कीड़ों से भरा है इस प्रकार शरीर के सभी अवयव अशुभ पुद्गल रुप हैं एक भी अवयव ऐसा नहीं है जो पवित्र और सुन्दर हो।

The measure of the seven bodily constituents: in the human body there are three hundred bones filled with foul-smelling marrow, three hundred joints in the whole body, nine hundred sinews, seven hundred veins, five hundred muscles, four networks of veins, sixteen blood-filled 'great veins', six roots of veins, two flesh-cords resting on the back and the belly, seven skins, seven kalechaka, 'eighty lakh crore hairs', sixteen intestines in the stomach and abdomen, seven receptacles of foul-smelling waste, three pillars, one hundred and seven vital points, nine impurity-gates through which filth ever flows, one anjuli-measure of brain, one of fat, one of semen, one of vitality (shukra), three of marrow, six of bile, six of phlegm, half an athaka of blood, one athaka of urine, six prastha of faeces, twenty nails, thirty-two teeth; as a wound is filled with worms, so the body is filled with many worms. Thus all the parts of the body are inauspicious matter; not a single part is pure and beautiful.
