द्वितीय अध्याय में मोहनीय कर्म की अठ्ठाईस प्रकृतियों का वर्णन है, आनन्तानुबन्धी, अप्रत्याख्यान, प्रत्याख्यान क्रोध मान माया लोभ, मिथ्यात्व और सम्यग्मिथ्यात्व ये चौदह सर्वघाती प्रकृतियाँ हैं, सञ्ज्वलन क्रोध मान माया लोभ, हास्य आदि नौ और सम्यग्प्रकृति ये चौदह देशघाती प्रकृतियाँ हैं।

The second chapter describes the twenty-eight sub-types of the deluding karma; the anantanubandhi, apratyakhyana and pratyakhyana anger-pride-deceit-greed, wrong faith, and mixed right-wrong faith—these fourteen are all-destroying sub-types; the samjvalana anger-pride-deceit-greed, the nine such as laughter, and the right-faith sub-type—these fourteen are partly-destroying sub-types.
