शुभोपयोग से कर्म बन्धता भी है निर्जरा भी होती है, जैसे काँटे से काँटा निकलता है, उसी सीढ़ी से चढ़ना भी होता है उतरना भी होता है, पानी से मकान गिरता भी है बनता भी है, फसल पानी से उगती भी है और नष्ट भी होती है, हँसने और रोने की आँखे एक ही होती हैं, दवाई मुख्य है, पर साधन के रूप में इञ्जेक्शन भी महत्त्व पूर्ण होता है।

Through auspicious conduct karma is both bound and shed, just as a thorn is removed with another thorn; on the same ladder one both climbs and descends; water both collapses and builds a house; crops both sprout and perish by water; the same eyes are used for laughing and weeping; medicine is primary, yet the injection as a means is also important.
