ध.पु.सप्तम्- भवनत्रिक के देव तथा सौधर्म-ईशान स्वर्ग के देव मरकर मनुष्य या तिर्यञ्च के गर्भ में आकर अन्तर्मुहूर्त पश्चात् वहीं उत्पन्न हो सकते हैं, तीसरे-चौथे स्वर्ग के देव पृथक्त्व (तीन से नौ तक की संख्या को पृथक्त्व कहते हैं) मुहूर्त पश्चात तीसरे-चौथे स्वर्ग में उत्पन्न हो सकते हैं, पाँचवे से आठवें स्वर्ग के देव पक्ष पृथक्त्व में वहीं उत्पन्न हो सकते हैं, नौवें से बारहवें स्वर्ग के देव मास पृथक्त्व में वहीं उत्पन्न हो सकते हैं, तेरहवे से सोलहवे स्वर्ग के देव तथा ग्रैवेयक, अनुदिश, अनुत्तर स्वर्ग के देव मनुष्य स्त्री के गर्भ में आकर वर्ष पृथक्त्व पश्चात् उन्हीं स्वर्गों में उत्पन्न हो सकते हैं।

Dhavala, part 7: devas of the Bhavanatrik and of the Saudharma-Ishana heavens, after death, may enter a human or animal womb and be reborn there within an antarmuhurta; devas of the third-fourth heavens after 'prithaktva' (a count of three to nine) of muhurtas; devas of the fifth to eighth heavens after prithaktva of fortnights; devas of the ninth to twelfth after prithaktva of months; and devas of the thirteenth to sixteenth heavens, and of the Graiveyaka, Anudisha and Anuttara, entering a human woman's womb, may be reborn in those same heavens after prithaktva of years.
