सिक्का राजा को दिया- एक साधु जङ्गल में विराजे थे, उनको कोई दर्शनार्थी सिक्का चढ़ा गया, साधु ने सोचा यह सिक्का किस गरीब को देना चाहिए, इतने में राजा किसी पर चढ़ाई करने के लिये निकल रहा था, सन्त ने सोचा, इससे ज्यादा गरीब कोई नहीं, इसलिये साधु ने सिक्का राजा की पालकी पर फेंक दिया, तव राजा ने साधु से पूँछा आपने यह सिक्का यहाँ क्यों फेका? साधु ने कहा दूसरों को लूटने जा रहे हो इसलिये भिखारी हो अतः मैंने आपको भीख दी है।

Giving the coin to the king: A sadhu was seated in the forest; a visitor offered him a coin. The sadhu wondered which poor person to give it to. Just then the king was setting out to attack someone. The saint thought, "There is no one poorer than he," and threw the coin onto the king's palanquin. The king asked, "Why did you throw this coin here?" The sadhu said, "You are going to plunder others, so you are a beggar; therefore I have given you alms."
