रत्न आते ही भाव बिगड़े- अहिदेव और महिदेव दोनों भाइयों ने विदेश में बहुत धन सञ्चित किया, जब घर आने लगे तो एक रत्न खरीद लिया, वह जिस भाई के पास रहता था, उसके भाव खराब हो जाते थे, घर आकर माता को दिया, उसके भाव भी बेटों को मारने के हो गये, सुबह मुनिराज के दर्शन प्रवचन को गयी, वहाँ भाव परिवर्तन हो गये, घर आकर माँ ने वह रत्न बेटों को देकर कहा यह रत्न समुद्र में फेक आओं, उसके बाद शान्ति से रहने लगे, यदि शान्ति चाहिए तो आकिञ्चन्य धर्म को अपनाना पड़ेगा।

Feelings spoil the moment a gem arrives: Two brothers, Ahidev and Mahidev, amassed great wealth abroad. Returning home they bought a gem; whichever brother held it turned ill-natured. They gave it to their mother, and even she began wishing to kill her sons. In the morning she went for a muni's darshan and discourse and her feelings changed; coming home she gave the gem back to her sons and said, "Throw it into the sea." After that they lived in peace. If you want peace, you must adopt the dharma of non-possession.
