पाषाण से प्रतिमा- प्रतिमा की पूजा देख पाषाण खण्ड बोला, बहिन लोग बड़े पक्षपाती हैं तुम्हारा और हमारा अंश और वंश एक है, लोग तुम्हे पूजते हैं, और हमसे टिककर बैठते हैं, प्रतिमा ने कहा तुमने हमारी साधना और समर्पण नहीं देखा, हमारी छाती पर बैठकर छैनी-हथौड़ा से अनावश्यक कलेवर निकाला गया, तब आज हमारी पूजा हो रही है, पूज्य बनने के लिए साधना आवश्यक है।

The stone and the idol: seeing the idol worshipped, a slab of stone said, 'Sister, people are so partial; you and I are of the same substance and stock—people worship you yet lean against me to sit.' The idol replied, 'You did not see my discipline and surrender; the chisel and hammer sat on my chest and carved away all that was needless—that is why I am worshipped today. To become worthy of worship, discipline is essential.'
