आचार्यश्री से किसी ने पूँछा आपने गृहस्थी नहीं बसाई, संसार का सुख नहीं देखा और घर छोड़ दिया, तो आपको कैसे पता कि संसार असार है? आचार्यश्री ने कहा कि गृहस्थी वालों के संकट ग्रस्त और उदासीन चेहरे देखकर समझ लिया, कि संसार में सुख नहीं है।

Someone asked the Acharya, 'You never made a home nor tasted worldly pleasure and yet left home; how do you know the world is worthless?' The Acharya replied, 'By seeing the trouble-stricken, downcast faces of householders I understood that there is no happiness in the world.'
