त्याग के विना राग मिट नहीं सकता, जल के विना मल छूट नहीं सकता। तप संयम के विना भगवान् बनने वालों, साधु हुये विना मोक्ष मिल नहीं सकता।।

Without renunciation attachment cannot end, as filth cannot be washed off without water. O you who would become God, without penance and restraint, without becoming an ascetic, liberation cannot be attained.
